The tools and knowledge writers need to build websites

Getting my websites to where they are today has been a long, painful and frustrating journey.

I’ve spent way more hours than I should have in WordPress and Thesis forums dealing with people who — how shall I put this? — communicate very differently than I do.

For this reason, I am working on putting together a simple guide that will address the particular needs of writers looking to set up websites. I think it drives us especially nuts when we have to come to terms with developer/geek language and its tendency to misuse words.

Don’t even get me started on the whole WordPress Multi-user / multi-site thing…

Why normal people hate dealing with web technology – part IVXICIII  I am making some changes to this website, which means that I have to finally come to grips with Google Apps, something I have been putting off  for quite a while. I am the Dog Twitterer

by AnnB on May 19, 2008

As of today, I’m going to start actively experimenting with Twitter as part of my attempt to build readership for my dog websites. It won’t be dog exclusive, though, as I’m still trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. You can sign up to follow me — the Dog Twitterer — via the [...]

Dear valued publishers, We are launching our gross $1 CPM on all sizes 300×250, 728×90, 160×600 to help promote the XXXXXX campaign. [...]
