CEP News — the mysterious news agency funded by Vigilant Futures — lives on, in a manner of speaking.
I have known for awhile that former CEP spokeswoman Paula Midena and several ex-CEP staffers were with an outfit called aroundFX, but yesterday a reader pointed out to me that aroundFX has ties to Cyprus-based Askobid, which “is a trade name used by O.C.M Online Capital Markets Ltd (formerly known as Webgine Ltd), authorized and regulated by CySEC (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission) under license number 108/10.”
Here’s some “who is” search information on Askobid, which appears to be tied up with aroundFX through the ambitiously named Forex Trader Academy and various other sites registered by XForex. As well as her aroundfx.com email address, Paula Midena also has an @forextraderacademy.com address displayed prominently on the Askobid site. Askobid also features CEP News stories dated one year past CEP News’ disappearance in its news archives.
I’m not sure what any of this means.
