High Frequency Trading is apparently what CEP News, Vigilant futures, NTKN and Jed Capital were/are up to -- or some variation thereof. Time to get NTKN booted from the lockups, I'd say. And where's World Business Press these days? And who's its trading "partner?" Vigilant Futures?

Ann, I was directed towards your blog today by a friend. You're probably not aware, but there have been rumours for months that someone is leaking the CAD monthly employment data - it is released to the public at 7AM, but there were several moves in the currency between 6AM (when the media lock-up starts) and about 6:15AM, always in the same direction as the employment report. Apparently the "questionable" FX trades always went through London, and I believe I read that one of the main CEP characters has some sort of trading business in London, right?
I've heard from an extremely reputable Cdn econ reporters that it wouldn't exactly be impossible to sneak an extra bbry or cell phone or whatever into the lock-up (no x-rays or pat-downs or anything), so do you think there's any connection? Just a theory...
Can't be CEP, they pulled out of ottawa office and lockup in january, that articles from the summer. if there's leaks it must be someone still in the lockup.

My understanding is that CEP/ Vigilant Futures were, to put it diplomatically, more Chicago-oriented.
There's always World Business Press and that new organization.
I haven't had much time but would like to find out more about them.
